There are many things that make Davidson the perfect place to call home. Living in a college community gives the residents an opportunity to experience wonderful guest lectures, artists, musicians, exhibits and sports teams within walking distance to their homes. Davidson is home to several art galleries and schools for music instruction, drama instruction, and instruction in the visual arts. These classes are offered to the public for all ages. We are also home to the award winning Davidson Community Players which put on several wonderful productions a year. Since Davidson is a Lake Norman Community, there is always boating, fishing, and beach play at one of the local parks. If water sports are not your "cup of tea" then there are local equestrian centers,sports programs, and plenty of shopping.
